Bhaskar, Professor of Community Dentistry is not approved by DCI for teaching since he has given two affidavits, one in Rama Dental College, Kanpur on 8.12.2007 and second in I.T.S. Centre for Dental Studies & Research, Ghaziabad on 7.1.2008. All Dental Colleges are herewith advised not to appoint him as Dental Faculty in their college. | Attn : All Dental Institutions - All the institutions are hereby informed that the Dental Council of India will deal only with the Head (Principal/Dean) of the Institution or any other senior faculty authorized by him for all their official matters, the council will not deal with any other individual claiming to be the representative of any institution........ | The permission granted under DCI Regulation for starting MDS will be granted for a period of one year and will be renewed on yearly basis after inspection by DCI. This process of renewal of permission will continue until the first batch of students appears in Final Year Examination of the concerned Course.......

Proposed Building of Dental Council of India
Dental Council of India is a Statutory Body incorporated under an Act of Parliament viz. The Dentists Act, 1948 (XVI of 1948) to regulate the Dental Education and the profession of Dentistry throughout India and it is financed by the Govt. of India in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Department of Health) through Grant-in-aid. The General Body of the Dental Council of India representing various State Governments, Universities, Dental Colleges, Central Government, etc.
NEW DELHI, 17th April 2008 – Indira Gandhi National Open University in collaboration with Dental Council of India is launching two programmes namely (a) PG Certificate in Endodontics (PGCE) & (b) PG Certificate in Oral Implantology (PGCOI) in open and distance learning mode from July 2008.
